The coffee spilled on Elias’s shirt exactly at 8:14 AM.

‘Dammit,’ he muttered, grabbing a napkin. Then he paused. He had already said that. He had already spilled the coffee. He vividly remembered the brown stain on his white collar, the rush to change, the traffic jam on Route 9, the awkward elevator ride with his boss.

He checked his phone. Tuesday, April 14th.

But he had lived April 14th yesterday. He was certain of it. To test his theory, he didn’t change his shirt. He walked to the train station instead of driving.

He thought he had successfully rewritten the day. But the phone rang.
